Краткая аннотация к уроку.

Класс: 11 класс, общеобразовательная школа.
УМК:

Тема раздела: Unit 6, “World of science”

Тема урока: «Перспективы научно-технического прогресса»

Форма организации работы: работа в парах, группах, индивидуальная, фронтальная.

Тип урока: комбинированный

Методы обучения: ИКТ, наглядно-иллюстративный, демонстрационный, репродуктивный.

Дата урока: 15 февраля 2017 года.



Цель: 

Формирование и совершенствование навыков аудирования и монологической речи с элементами аргументации в рамках изучаемой темы.


Задачи:

  • Развивающая: развитие готовности к коммуникации, совершенствование лексических и грамматических навыков, а также навыков говорения учащихся.

  • Воспитательная: создание условий для формирования познавательной активности, поддержание интереса, уважения к культуре и традициям страны изучаемого языка.

  • Образовательная: обогащение словарного запаса учащихся, автоматизирование употребления вводных конструкций и лексических единиц по теме «Перспективы научно-технического прогресса», совершенствование фонетических навыков.



Оборудование: мультимедиа аппаратура.

Наглядные пособия: презентация.



Ход урока:

1. Начало урока. Приветствие. Постановка темы урока.

T: Good morning, boys and girls! I am glad to see you! Welcome to our English lesson! As far as you know, we have been discussing the problems of science and technology at our lessons and today, you’ll have an opportunity to use your knowledge on our lesson. Some people think that technology will save the world and make it better, some others think that technology will ruin the society.

2. Речевая зарядка.

Interview your classmates. Play the part of correspondents from different newspapers.

When was the television invented?

What was the first country in the world to send a `satellite into space?

In what century was the telephone invented?

When did American astronauts land on the moon?

When did the Internet appear in Russia?

Which of two countries uses the Space Shuttle-:Russia or America?

Neptune is the closest planet to the Sun ,isn’t it?



3. Повторение лексического материала.

T: Have a look at the pictures and say what inventions have been made by the end of the 20th century .Why do people use them?(фотографии на экране)

1. Camera (we use a camera to take photos)

2. Microwave oven(we use it to cook,defrost,reheat pre-prepared food)

3. TV set (we use it to have fun or entertain)

4. Vacuum cleaner(we use it to clean up liquids,dust and waste and shampooing)

5. Mobile phone(we use it to receive or make calls or massages)

6..Dishwasher(we use it to wash dishes)

7.Fax machine(we use it to send and receive urgent massages)

8.Computer(we use it to write programs,play games,find and use information from the Internet)

T: There are some things we couldn’t live without. Mankind has created so many electric appliances.

T: What thing most of you couldn’t live without?

P: I couldn’t live without…

T: Which of the things have you got at home?


4. Развитие навыков монологической речи. Контроль домашнего задания.

1. What can you tell us about computers?

P 1: 50 years ago people hadn’t even heard of computers, and today we cannot imagine life without them. Computer technology is the fastest- growing industry in the world. Computer revolution is changing our life and our language, too. We are constantly making up words giving new meanings to old ones.

P 2: Сomputers help people to do many things they couldn’t do alone. Bankers use them to keep track of money. Computers help companies keep records ,doctors treat sick people ,and scientists to solve problems.

P 3:The computer is a very useful thing. Like any tool, it helps people to do things better. Computers are fast and accurate. Compared to people, computers are not so intelligent .They are machines that will do only what they are told to. It is people who decide which facts to put into the computer.

- Can we imagine our life without inventions?

- Will they change the world?

- What modern inventions do you know?

- How often do you use them?

- What are the world greatest inventions for you?

- Do inventions make our life easier?


5. Аудирование .

T:. Let’s listen to the text. Answer, why computer is so important for us.

« 50 years ago people didn’t even heard of computers, and today we cannot imagine life without them. They help to diagnose illnesses, find minerals, identify criminals. Some people say that computers are dangerous, but I don’t agree with them. They save a lot of time. They seldom make mistakes. It’s much faster and easier to surf the Internet than to go to the library. On-line shopping makes it possible to find exactly what you want at the best price, saving both time and money. E-mail is a great invention, too. It’s faster than sending a letter and cheaper than sending a telegram. All in all, I strongly believe that computers are a useful tool. They have changed our life for the better.»


6. Выполнение упражнений.

T: Let’s repeat all the necessary computer science terms. First of all, match English and Russian equivalents of the terms.

Keyboard- клавиатура

Disk drive- дисковод

Floppy disk- гибкий диск

Modem- модем

File- файл

Boot- начальная загрузка

Flame- флейм

Scanner- сканнер


1. This small box is used to operate a computer. (mouse)

2. A document on your computer. (file)

3. A device which is used to transfer photos and texts to your computer. (scanner)

4. To make a computer better or able to do more things. (upgrade)

5. This looks like a typewriter and has the keys you need to press (keyboard)

6. It can be hard. It can be floppy. (disk)

7. A device which allows your computer to send messages along a telephone line.( modem)

8. An unfriendly or rude e-mails ( flame)

9. To start a computer.(boot)

  1. Активизация навыков устной речи.

(ученики составляют диалог по образцу и представляют его)

-What is the best gadget in the world?

-It is a very difficult question. Perhaps, it is a TV-set .It is a wonderful source of information. It allows everybody to follow the events in faraway countries without visiting them.

-I cannot agree with you. I think the best gadget is computer .I cannot imagine my life without it. I use my computer to find the latest information in the Internet. I think it is the best way to know everything.

-I agree with you. Everything becomes more complex today, so the ways we find solutions to our problems should become easier.

8. Заключительный этап.

T: Dear friends! I’d like to thank you for your work. I hope you’ve learned much and will use your knowledge of English in the future.
