Theme: “The Weather and The Climate of Great Britain”
Aims:1. To develop pupils abilities in oral speech through different kinds of work: conversation, monologue, dialogue.
2.To improve lexical knowledge of the theme using words and phrases in pupils` answers.
3. To teach pupils to know and to respect learning countries.
Equipment: 1. The map of The Great Britain.
2. a dice and a wonder field.
3. tables with the words.
4. prizes
5. a tape-recorder.
Plan.
Organization moment: Greeting, introductory words about the aims of the lesson and the cause of it.
Phonetic: Revision of the words using the translation of them.
Speech: Information about the Great Britain, it`s climate and weather.

II Comprehension text:
Great Britain is situated on islands and is washed by seas from all sides. That is why its climate is wet and mild, without striking differences between seasons. It is not very cold in winter and never very hot in summer (temperature seldom drops below 0 0 or rises above 30 0 degrees)
The weather on the British Isles has a bad reputation and not without reason. It is very changeable.
It rains very often in all seasons. Autumn and winter are the wettest in Britain. The sky is usually grey and cold winds blow.
Britain has about 204 rainy days a year. Britain is known all over the world for its fogs. Sometimes fogs are so thick that it is different to see anything within a few meters.
British people like to talk about the weather. To mention weather in conversation is almost another tradition.
Most sunny days occur in spring and summer; people who have been to Britain in sunny weather say that it looks like a large beautiful park.
