Поговорки - советы, основанные на опыте людей; некоторые из них можно понять, переведя отдельные слова.

1) saying; a task isn't done well, if too many people do it. (У семи нянек дитя без глазу.)

2) saying; a failed deal that can't be return back. (Что упало, то пропало. Плакать попусту над чем-то.)

3) idiom; to be absolutely calm. (Спокойный как удав.)

4) idiom; someone who spends o lot of time sitting on the sofa doing little more than watching TV. (Лежебока, лентяй, увалень)
